CARDIOLOGY CONSULTATIONS

Have you been having symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations or fainting spells? A consultation with one of our Cardiologists will help you to find the cause of your symptoms. The consultation includes an ECG (Electrocardiogram), and takes between 30-45 minutes. A detailed history of ALL your symptoms and a thorough examination is performed. The doctor will then provide you with a diagnosis and suggest additional tests, if necessary and treatment. To prepare for your consultation, we ask that you take all the medications you are currently taking, as well as copies of ANY tests (blood tests, X-rays, Ultrasounds) that have been done, to your appointment.

If you have no symptoms, but are over 40 years old, heart health screen is recommended to pick up SILENT heart disease.

You may schedule your consultation with:

• Adult Cardiologist – If 18 years and older
• Paediatric Cardiologist – 0-17 years old
• Heart surgeon – For evaluation for bypass surgery, valve surgery, pacemakers
• Internal Medicine Specialist – If your symptoms are not specific to the heart. Our internist sees patients with brain, hormonal, lung, intestinal among other general complaints
